The trading, last I knew (I haven't been on in a few weeks), wasn't actually implemented yet however that has not stopped trading from occurring which speaks volumes to the potential to the bartering economy (which is much funner in my opinion then an auction house).

The skill system is pretty unique (I can think of a diablo 2 mod that uses a similar one but not nearly as well done or as well thought out) and allows build commitment without actually forcing you to commit. The game is fairly easily picked up yet there's a lot of planning to do in the game which allows new players with little gaming experience to enjoy the game and entertain long time gamers. This is game I've been lucky enough to get beta pretty early on so I've got to see quite a few changes and how the developer listen to the community. However this greatly takes away from the item finding aspect of the game because once you get high tier crafting recipes you'll no longer need to spend as much time looking for good gear.īottom line here is if you're from a diablo1/2 background and you've grown tired of it you'll probably only get a few days of fun with diablo3 as its basic concepts are taken from its previous games and then everything really great about it has been stripped away to keep things simple and easy to balance. You'll quickly find your DPS increasing (in my case it went from 12 dps to 70 DPS in a few minutes). It's kind of fun once you unlock a few recipes and start breaking down junk items. Most skills you pick are the obvious better choice, stats are done for you, and without having to worry about anything other then a level requirement on items you always pick the highest tier one you can (provided the stats are at least comparable with what you're wearing).īut there are some positives, like the crafting system. However when comparing to the previous games all thought process appears to have been completely taken out of the game.
In fact the pace is so fast that it's quite easy to get so far ahead you have to go back to find items (this was my case on my first play through on the barbarian).
